(August 1st, 2019)  By sad coincidence, I finished reading There There by Tommy Orange today, with the news of the Gilroy Garlic Festival shooting (7/29) still feeling raw and unreal.  There There is a powerful, explosive narrative that captures much of the Native American angst and interprets it in such a way that it can penetrate the reader's psyche.  A visceral read.
